DISPATCHED SIX TIMES PER DAY AT AN AVERAGE COST PER MISSION IS £2,200.

The HEMS team consists of: Two Pilots, A Pre-hospital Care Doctor, A Critical Care Paramedic.

An average of 1,000 PATIENTS are treated each year.

It costs in excess of £375,000 every month to keep the helicopter flying for Essex and Herts Air Ambulance.

THE AVERAGE FUEL COST PER FLYING HOUR is £145

They can reach the furthest parts of Essex or Hertfordshire in under 20 MINUTES.

The Air Ambulance service rely on the support of nearly 300 fundraising volunteers.
